Last Chance – Formentera

This place is definitely my favorite Mediterranean anchorage. we stopped here today after 24 hours under engine heading South from Barcelona.

Nothing but white sand, turquoise water, super yachts, regular yachts, plain old boats, boats that barely float, etc.

Plenty of casual beach bars and restaurants ashore as well. Lots of day trippers from Ibiza trying to work off the hangovers from previous nights activities.

You can only get here by boat so that helps to keep the crowd down.

Today was the first time I had a drone onboard. Super happy with the pictures included below.

  1. Hi Jim – what anchorages do you like in Formentera? We’re still stuck in Mallorca – looking for a good weather window next week to get to Italy.

    1. We typically visit along the northern extension of the island. Basically, it’s a long sandbar! We anchor on either side depending upon the weather and wind direction.
