Cabo Race Report #12

March 8th, 5pm

14 miles to go.

8 knots of wind. Two boats in our division are ahead of us!! One (locomotion) just finished.

The sun is getting ready to set.

The boats around us have almost no wind.

The very real possibility of the nightmare scenario is showing itself. We all want off this boat!!! The thought of another night is not good!!

Deb – pls call Mike with a new eta of 7-8pm

  1. Jim, I just picked this up. I was at the dock with a couple of six packs from 6-8. Then gave up at 8pm when I saw no lights and people in other boats started laughing at me. Plus I needed to buy more beer. Anyway, more beer in the fridge in the room now and checking messages at the internet cafe back on the other side of the harbor. – mw

  2. MIKE –If things happen like they usually do he will run out of fuel after the finish, but luckily they have motivated paddlers.– Bob
