Morpheus was designed by Carl Schumacher, built by Davie Norris Boatbuilders in New Zealand and launched in 2002. She spent her first 18 months cruising the South Pacific before reaching her home port of San Francisco. Since that time, Morpheus has been raced and cruised extensively. This blog will document her ongoing adventures.

So very sorry to hear this news. We met on the other side of the Panama canal. Boat’s name was Free Range Chicken. Bruce died in January from cancer. This is heart breaking for me. I’m in tears for you. Literally. You both have a long hard stretch of road ahead of you. Love to you both. Sharon

Received this news the day it was e-mailed. I sailed with Jim aboard Gibb’s NY42 Mutiny, and remember fasting to get our weight down before Newport. Never sailed on Morpheus, but have followed your cruising and racing here.
