Winter Harbor

Here we are actually caught up to the current day.

Deb and I are anchored in the middle of Winter Harbor on Vinalhaven Island. This is a very narrow inlet on the East side of Vinalhaven.

You enter with very little room to spare on either side and work your way up the shallow inlet until passing within feet of exposed rock on one side, and a granite cliff on the other. Once past those obstacles, you enter a small area where things open up and the depth doubles.

Here we sit, all by ourselves, watching the Bald Eagles fly overhead, and the seals swim past the boat. We also watch Travis (our dog) barking at lobster pots, but that’s another story.

It’s beautiful here!!
