Fall Colors

Morpheus recently spent a couple of weeks out of the water at Brewers Boatyard in Westbrook, CT.  While she was getting new bottom paint, a replacement for her lower rudder bearing, and her topsides polished, Deb and I stayed with Lyn & Peg Comfort in their Newport home.

It’s a fantastic place, and we were lucky to have friends willing to put up with us for so long.

We were also very very lucky regarding the timing of all of this.  During the time Morpheus was in the boatyard and we were sleeping in nice comfortable beds, this area suffered from two of the biggest storms that we’ve seen all year.

All through this time, we had a rental car and I would drive back and forth to the boatyard each day to check on progress and occasionally encourage faster progress!  The fall colors were in their prime and the drive was great!

But, the sail back to Newport once the boat was back in the water was even better!!!
