Initially, Deb and I had hoped to cruise through Greece and end up in Turkey with the boat for the Winter. Now, with the US issuing travel warnings for Southeast Turkey, police station bombings in Istanbul, and the increasing problems associated with the number of refugees making their way from Turkey to Greece, we have altered our “plans”.
Right now, it looks like we keep the boat in a marina near Athens (Olympic Marina) for the winter. We will look to arrive there sometime early in October. After that, we are not sure, but hope to do a bit of land based travel before heading to California to visit friends are relatives over the holiday season.
