This picture was NOT taken today. Instead of making progress and visiting interesting places, we are hunkered down in a nice bay with our anchor very firmly planted in sand.
The Mistral Winds that visited us several times last season are back again. They start way up North blowing across sections of France and then typically work themselves to the SE stretching out towards Sardinia.
We are told that “they rarely make it this far”, but certainly in this case they have succeeded. Winds here are steady around 20 with frequent gusts to thirty and above.
Things should be better tomorrow. But, then again the weather is “not usually like this”!!
