Cascais to Villamoura

We left Cascais two days ago for an overnight sail to Villamoura.  It was about a 150nm sail.  South along the Western Coast of Portugal, and then a left turn around Punta Sagres and across to Villamoura.

The trip reminded us all of sails down the California coast.  Strong, cold Northerly winds along the coast, and acceleration of the breeze at Punta Sagres (think Conception), and then you seem to enter another world weather wise as you sail East to Villamoura (think Santa Barbara)!!

Deb is very happy, we are back in Summer time weather and she is warm once again….
