600 Mile Tour Of The Caribbean

Sitting here in the Miami Airport, it’s difficult to imagine that tomorrow at this time I will be several hours into the Caribbean 600 race!

This will be the 15th edition of this race that is rapidly growing in popularity and attracting many of the best boats and sailors in the world. And, what’s not to like? Warm water, temps in the low 80s, and trade winds that typically blow 16-22 knots!

I will be racing with Gibb Kane on his Swan 66 Bounty. We’ve been sailing together on each other’s boats for close to 35 years. This would be a nice race to do well in. We shall see…
